Drone-Based Surface Cleaning
Cleaning with drones offers numerous advantages, especially for hard-to-reach and high-up surfaces, compared to traditional methods such as brushes, telescopic poles, scaffolding or aerial work platforms.
The safety requirements are significantly reduced compared to manual cleaning in exposed locations. As a result, this method is not only more cost-effective but also considerably more time-efficient.
Demanding criteria for cleaning agents
Conceptually, drone cleaning is a contactless method – without brushes or similar mechanical aids. Therefore, dirt removal must rely solely on the cleaning agent and the force of the water jet. A suitable cleaning agent must meet several important criteria:
- Drone compatibility: It must be compatible with spraying systems and pump technologies to enable consistent and fine-pored foam generation
- Stable adhesive foam: The foam should adhere well to vertical surfaces to extend dwell time and allow thorough dirt removal.
- High cleaning power: Even stubborn contaminants like bird droppings or insect residues must be removed efficiently.
- Environmental friendliness: The agent should be readily biodegradable, especially when the wash water cannot be collected.

Drone Cleaner EcoFoam MR-62
Drone Clean EcoFoam MR-62 is a whey-based cleaner manufactured in Switzerland. It effectively removes general natural dirt, residues, limescale, and algae. (More information can be found in the FAQ.).
This product stands out as a fully natural circular solution and is certified according to the Cradle-to-Cradle (C2C) principle. It is readily biodegradable in accordance with OECD 301B and therefore safe for the environment.

Drone Cleaner Xtreme CR-63
The Drone Cleaner Xtreme CR-63 is a powerful alkaline cleaner that effectively removes organic contaminants, especially bird droppings, insect residues and grease.
It is specifically designed for the intensive cleaning of heavily soiled glass and façade surfaces. Subsequent cleanings can then be carried out using the environmentally friendly Drone Cleaner EcoFoam MR-62.

Are the sales prices quoted in CHF or EUR? What are the payment terms?
For deliveries within Switzerland and Liechtenstein, prices are quoted in CHF plus VAT. For all other countries, invoicing is in EUR without VAT, based on our EUR price list.
All prices are EXW Gossau (Incoterms 2020).
In general, payment is due in full before delivery. For larger order volumes or established business relationships, individual payment terms may be agreed upon.
Which countries do you deliver to? How does shipping work?
We deliver to all countries, subject to the respective delivery options.
Shipping is usually organized by us, and the actual shipping costs will be invoiced accordingly. For larger orders, it is also possible to have the goods collected by your own freight forwarder.
Please note: Drone Cleaner Xtreme CR-63 must be declared and transported as hazardous material (UN 3266).
What is the warranty on your products?
Our products are covered by a 12-month warranty starting from the date of delivery. Please refer to our General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for details.
Drone Cleaner EcoFoam MR-62 is a natural product, which may lead to slight variations in colour, consistency or scent between batches.
What requirements apply to the drone spray system when using Drone Cleaner EcoFoam MR-62?
For optimal fine-pored foam formation, it is crucial that the nozzle, water pressure, water flow rate and water temperature of the drone lance are properly coordinated. Additionally, the optimal mixing ratio of cleaner and water must be determined based on the type and level of contamination. A proven mixing ratio is 1:10.
If the cleaning agent is automatically mixed in, it must be ensured that the mixing ratio remains constant, even with fluctuating water pressure. Let the foam act for 10 – 15 minutes, then rinse off thoroughly with a strong water jet. Preferably use osmosis water.
Make sure that the cleaning foam does not dry out during the application time.
Many manufacturers claim environmental compatibility of their cleaners. Is the clappt Drone Cleaner EcoFoam MR-62 certified?
The Cradle-to-Cradle (C2C) certified cleaner Drone Cleaner MR-62 meets higher standards than conventional eco-labels such as the EU Ecolabel or the Blue Angel. The focus is on transparent disclosure of ingredients down to molecular level and their circularity, ensuring complete biodegradability — key criteria of the Cradle-to-Cradle certification.

Is it necessary to collect the wash water from drone cleaning when using Drone Cleaner EcoFoam MR-62?
Thanks to its fully circular ingredients, the drone cleaner Drone Cleaner EcoFoam MR-62 is fundamentally harmless to the environment and readily biodegradable. No harmful substances are released during use. However, the handling of the wastewater must comply with the applicable local regulations.
The clappt cleaner Drone Cleaner EcoFoam MR-62 is produced based on whey. Are there further details available?
Whey has long been known for its diverse applications, including its effectiveness as a lactic acid–based acidic cleaner. Ciaras AG has developed a special process that stabilizes and preserves whey in its liquid form. This creates the basis for highly effective foam cleaners with stable foam, in which the natural cleaning enzymes of the whey remain fully intact.
Is the Drone Cleaner EcoFoam MR-62 gentle on materials and skin?
Many of our customers report that the clappt foam cleaners based on whey – compared to conventional cleaners – do not damage or dull paintwork, seals or other materials. For human skin, a dermatological test has been conducted by Dermatest GmbH, resulting in a rating of «very good.»
What is the difference between the two cleaners Drone Cleaner EcoFoam MR-62 and Drone Cleaner Xtreme CR-63?
The Drone Cleaner CR-63, an alkaline-based cleaner, ideally complements the environmentally friendly foam cleaner EcoFoam MR-62 when it comes to cleaning heavily soiled surfaces – especially stubborn organic contaminants such as bird droppings, insect residues or pollen.
What requirements apply to the drone spray system for using the Drone Cleaner Xtreme CR-63?
For optimal and even application of the cleaning agent, it is crucial that the nozzle, water pressure, water flow and water temperature of the drone lance are perfectly coordinated. Additionally, the optimal mixing ratio of cleaner and water must be determined based on the type and level of contamination. A proven mixing ratio is 1:50. Adjust the concentration based on contamination.
If the cleaner is automatically mixed in, it must be ensured that the mixing ratio remains constant even with fluctuating water pressure. If this cannot be reliably guaranteed, it is recommended to prepare the mixture manually in a tank.
Let the cleaning agent act for 5 – 15 minutes and then rinse off thoroughly with a strong water jet. Preferably use osmosis water. Make sure the cleaning agent does not dry out during the application time.
What else needs to be considered?
Drone Cleaner Xtreme CR-63 is a highly alkaline cleaner classified as “corrosive.” All safety measures specified in the safety data sheet must be strictly followed during use.
For sensitive surfaces, it is recommended to perform a test with the diluted cleaning solution beforehand to rule out any material damage. The cleaner has a pH value of approximately 12.5 at a mixing ratio of 1:50. It is important to rinse the cleaning agent very thoroughly with plenty of water after the contact time.
Is it necessary to collect the wash water from drone cleaning?

Can cleaning with Drone Cleaner Xtreme CR-63 damage sensitive surfaces or cause corrosion?
Drone Cleaner Xtreme CR-63 is a strongly alkaline cleaner with a pH of approximately 12.5 in its diluted form. Sensitive surfaces should be tested for material compatibility before use.
